  • 1 Ripe Banana Mashed
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Lean Ground Turkey or Chicken Plain, no seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Water (or unsalted chicken/beef broth, plain) To help bind ingredients and ensure a good consistency. May need additional.
  • 1/2 cup water (or broth) For cooking oats

Equipment

  • Small Saucepan
  • Bowl
  • Fork
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Airtight container
  • Ice cube tray
  • Freezer-safe containers
  • Freezer bag

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of rolled oats with 1/2 cup of water (or broth). Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool slightly.
1 cup Rolled Oats, 1/2 cup water (or broth)
  2. Peel one ripe banana and mash it thoroughly with a fork in a separate bowl until smooth.
    1 Ripe Banana
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the cooked oats, mashed banana, 1/2 cup of xylitol-free natural peanut butter, 1/4 cup of cooked lean ground turkey or chicken (plain, no seasonings), and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds.
1 cup Rolled Oats, 1 Ripe Banana, 1/2 cup Natural Peanut Butter, 1/4 cup Cooked Lean Ground Turkey or Chicken, 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  4. Mix all ingredients together until well combined and a cohesive mixture forms. If the mixture seems too dry, add another tablespoon or two of water or broth until it reaches a soft, dough-like consistency.
1/4 cup Water (or unsalted chicken/beef broth, plain)
  5. The Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Recipe is now ready to be served! You can offer it as a small meal, a healthy topper for their regular food, or shape it into bite-sized treats.

Notes

Always consult with your veterinarian before introducing new foods to your dog's diet, especially if they have allergies, sensitivities, or health conditions. Ensure peanut butter is xylitol-free.
