- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats. Stir them together until well mixed.2 cups Whole Wheat Flour, 1 cup Rolled Oats
- Add the mashed ripe bananas and natural peanut butter to the dry ingredients.2 Ripe Bananas, Mashed, 1/2 cup Natural Peanut Butter
- Stir everything together until a dough begins to form. It might be a bit sticky.
- Gradually add the water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough is no longer too sticky and can be handled. You want a firm but pliable dough.1/4 cup Water
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters of your desired shapes or simply cut into squares.
- Place the shaped treats onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the treats are firm to the touch and lightly golden brown on the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let the treats cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days. Freeze for up to 2-3 months.
