  • 1 cup 100% pure canned pumpkin cooked, mashed
  • 1/2 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt cooked, mashed
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour or oat flour cooked, mashed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce cooked, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon cooked, mashed

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix the 100% pure canned pumpkin and plain, unsweetened yogurt until well combined.

  3. Gradually stir in the whole wheat flour (or oat flour) and unsweetened applesauce until a thick dough forms.

  4. Gently fold in the ground cinnamon until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  5. Roll the dough into small balls or drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. You can flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the treats are firm to the touch and lightly golden brown around the edges.
  7. Let the Pumpkin Yogurt Dog Treats cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing to ensure they are safe for your dog to eat.

Notes

Offer 1-3 treats per day, depending on size and activity level. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days. Can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
