  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened pumpkin puree (canned) canned
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated carrot Raw or lightly steamed.

Equipment

  • Medium Bowl
  • Kong Toy

Method

  1. Cook the Chicken: If not already cooked, boil or bake 1 cup of chicken breast until thoroughly cooked through. Allow it to cool, then finely dice or shred.
    1 cup cooked chicken breast
  2. Prepare the Sweet Potato: If not already cooked, bake or boil one medium sweet potato until tender. Mash it until smooth and lump-free.
    0.5 cup cooked sweet potato
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the cooked and diced/shredded chicken, mashed sweet potato, plain unsweetened yogurt, unsweetened pumpkin puree, and grated carrot.
1 cup cooked chicken breast, 0.5 cup cooked sweet potato, 0.25 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt, 1 tablespoon unsweetened pumpkin puree (canned), 1 teaspoon finely grated carrot
  4. Mix Thoroughly: Stir all the ingredients together until they are well combined into a cohesive mixture. The texture should be moist and slightly sticky, perfect for stuffing.
  5. Stuff the Kong: Using a spoon or your fingers, firmly pack the mixture into your dog's Kong toy, ensuring it’s filled to your desired level, possibly leaving a small gap at the opening for easier licking initially if your puppy is new to stuffed Kongs.
