- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the natural, xylitol-free peanut butter and the unsweetened applesauce. Stir until thoroughly blended and smooth.1/2 cup Peanut Butter (natural, xylitol-free), 1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- Gradually add 2 tablespoons of water to the peanut butter and applesauce mixture, stirring continuously until a thick, paste-like consistency is achieved. This will help bind the cereal.2 tablespoons Water
- Gently fold in the 1 1/4 cups of plain, unsweetened puffed rice cereal. Mix until the cereal is evenly coated with the peanut butter mixture.1 1/4 cups Puffed Rice Cereal (plain, unsweetened)
- Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared sheet, forming small treat shapes.
- Allow the treats to set at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or until firm to the touch. No baking is required!
Notes
