Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Lean Ground Turkey cooked, drained
  • 1/2 cup Cooked Quinoa cooled
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Sweet Potato mashed
  • 1/4 cup Cooked Carrots finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon Cooked Oatmeal plain, unflavored
  • 1 teaspoon Salmon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley optional

Method
 

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until it is thoroughly browned. Drain off any excess grease and allow it to cool slightly.
    1 cup Lean Ground Turkey
  2. While the turkey cooks, boil or steam the sweet potato and carrots until they are very tender. Once cooked, mash the sweet potato well. Finely dice the carrots.
    1/4 cup Cooked Sweet Potato, 1/4 cup Cooked Carrots
  3. Cook 1/2 cup of quinoa according to package directions. Ensure it is fully cooked and cooled.
    1/2 cup Cooked Quinoa
  4. In a large bowl, gently combine the cooked and drained ground turkey, cooled cooked quinoa, mashed sweet potato, diced carrots, and cooked oatmeal.
    1 cup Lean Ground Turkey, 1/2 cup Cooked Quinoa, 1/4 cup Cooked Sweet Potato, 1/4 cup Cooked Carrots, 1 tablespoon Cooked Oatmeal
  5. Drizzle the salmon oil over the mixture. If using, sprinkle in the dried parsley.
    1 teaspoon Salmon Oil, 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley
  6. Stir all the ingredients together until they are well incorporated. Ensure each portion has a good distribution of all the components. The final texture should be soft and moist, suitable for easier chewing.
