Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature
  • 4 oz Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1/2 tsp Hot Sauce Or to taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Dill Finely chopped
Shrimp
  • 12 oz Cooked Shrimp Small to medium size, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup Scallions Thinly sliced, white and green parts

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the shrimp: If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely. Pat the cooked shrimp very dry with paper towels. Roughly chop about 2/3 of the shrimp and leave the remaining 1/3 whole for garnish.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Use a spatula or electric mixer to blend until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, and finely chopped fresh dill into the cream cheese mixture. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped shrimp and the thinly sliced scallions. Mix just until everything is evenly distributed throughout the dip base.
  5. Transfer the shrimp dip to a serving bowl. Garnish the top of the dip with the reserved whole shrimp and a sprinkle of extra scallions or dill.
  6. Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled with crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetable sticks.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning. This dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored tightly covered in the refrigerator.
