Ingredients

  • 2 cups Ripe Bananas mashed
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats cooked
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon

Equipment

  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Small Saucepan

Method

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they are mostly smooth with a few small lumps remaining. Allow about 5 minutes for this step.
    2 cups Ripe Bananas
  2. In a small saucepan, combine rolled oats with 1 cup of water and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the oats have absorbed the water and are cooked through. This will take approximately 5-7 minutes. The oats should be soft and slightly thick.
    1 cup Rolled Oats
  3. Add the cooked, slightly cooled oats to the mashed bananas. Stir in the unsweetened applesauce and chia seeds. Mix everything together until well combined.
2 cups Ripe Bananas, 1 cup Rolled Oats, 1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce, 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  4. Sprinkle in the cinnamon and stir gently to distribute it evenly throughout the mixture.
    1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  5. For a firmer texture, cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 15-20 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the chia seeds to expand slightly.
