- If you haven't already, shred or dice the cooked rotisserie chicken into bite-sized pieces. Aim for pieces that are easy to wrap and eat. Place the prepared chicken in a medium-sized mixing bowl.2 cups cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded or diced
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey (if using) until smooth and well combined. This forms the flavorful base that will coat the chicken beautifully.1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon honey
- Add the finely chopped celery, red onion, and fresh parsley or cilantro to the bowl with the chicken. These ingredients provide a wonderful textural contrast and a burst of fresh flavor.2 cups cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded or diced, 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped, 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped, 1/4 cup fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
- Pour the creamy dressing over the chicken mixture. Gently stir everything together until the chicken and vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary – you might want a little more Dijon or a pinch more salt.2 cups cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded or diced, 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped, 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped, 1/4 cup fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped, salt, freshly ground black pepper
- Slightly warm your flour tortillas so they become more pliable and less likely to crack when you fill and roll them. You can do this by briefly microwaving them for about 15-20 seconds, or by warming them in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side.4 large flour tortillas or your favorite wrap bread
- Lay one warmed tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous portion of the rotisserie chicken mixture onto the center of the tortilla, leaving some space around the edges.4 large flour tortillas or your favorite wrap bread, 2 cups cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded or diced, 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped, 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped, 1/4 cup fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
- Now is the time to pile on your favorite toppings! Add shredded lettuce for crispness, sliced tomatoes for juiciness, shredded cheddar cheese for a melty indulgence, or avocado slices for creaminess.shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, avocado slices, pickle spears
- To create a neat wrap, fold in the sides of the tortilla first, then snugly roll it up from the bottom, tucking in the filling as you go. Ensure it's rolled tightly to prevent anything from falling out.4 large flour tortillas or your favorite wrap bread
- You can serve the wraps immediately as is, or if you want to ensure they stay perfectly rolled, you can wrap them tightly in parchment paper or foil. Slice in half if desired for easier handling.
Notes
These wraps are best consumed within 1-2 days if fully assembled. Leftover chicken filling can be stored separately for 3-4 days. Reheat filling gently to avoid soggy tortillas.
