Notes
Leftover South Carolina Bird Dog Sandwiches can be stored safely in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, divide the mixture into single-serving portions and freeze them. Frozen portions can be kept for up to 2 months.
To thaw frozen portions, transfer from the freezer to the refrigerator the night before. Gently reheat in a microwave or on the stovetop until warmed through, not hot. Never reheat food multiple times.
