Ingredients

Salsa Ingredients
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries hulled and finely diced
  • 1 cup Fresh Pineapple cored and finely diced
  • 1/2 cup Red Onion finely diced
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro freshly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • Pinch Black Pepper freshly ground

Method

Instructions
  1. Wash and hull the fresh strawberries. Finely dice them and place them in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Peel, core, and finely dice the fresh pineapple. Add it to the bowl with the strawberries.
  3. Finely dice the red onion and mince the seeded jalapeno. Add both to the bowl.
  4. Chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the bowl.
  5. Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the ingredients in the bowl. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Gently stir all ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. For best flavor, cover the bowl and let the salsa chill in the refrigerator for at least 15-30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.

Notes

This salsa is best served fresh. It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, though the texture may soften slightly.
