Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooked Chicken Breast, Shredded Provides lean protein essential for muscle development and repair.
  • 1/2 cup Cooked Sweet Potato, Mashed A fantastic source of fiber for digestive health and beta-carotene for vision and skin.
  • 1/2 cup Plain, Unsweetened Yogurt Excellent for gut health with probiotics that aid digestion and can support immune function. Ensure it's dairy-free if your dog is lactose intolerant.
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds Packed with omega-3 fatty acids for coat health, fiber for digestion, and antioxidants.
  • 1/4 cup Water (or unsalted, plain chicken broth) To help achieve the right consistency and add hydration.

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken breast and the mashed cooked sweet potato. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
1 cup Cooked Chicken Breast, Shredded, 1/2 cup Cooked Sweet Potato, Mashed
  2. Stir in the plain, unsweetened yogurt and the chia seeds. Ensure everything is evenly distributed.
1/2 cup Plain, Unsweetened Yogurt, 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  3. Gradually add the water or unsalted chicken broth, a tablespoon at a time, while mixing, until you achieve a thick, spoonable but not too runny consistency. You're aiming for something that can be easily dropped or shaped.
1/4 cup Water (or unsalted, plain chicken broth)
  4. Spoon the mixture into your dog's bowl. You can serve it as is for a soft, lickable treat, or freeze it in small portions for a longer-lasting, cooling delight on warmer days.
