Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened plain yogurt Provides essential calcium and probiotics for digestive health.
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter xylitol-free. A great source of protein and healthy fats for energy and a shiny coat. Ensure it does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
  • 2 ripe bananas mashed. Offers potassium, Vitamin B6, and natural sweetness for an energy boost.
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour or oat flour for a gluten-free option. Provides dietary fiber for healthy digestion.
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats Adds fiber and a satisfying texture, supporting sustained energy release.

Equipment

  • - Baking Sheet
  • - Parchment Paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cookie cutters
  • Wire rack

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and unsweetened plain yogurt. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
1 cup unsweetened plain yogurt, 2 ripe bananas
  3. Add the xylitol-free natural peanut butter to the wet ingredients. Mix well until the mixture is smooth and uniform in color.
    1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  4. Gradually introduce the whole wheat flour (or oat flour) and rolled oats into the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms. If the dough seems too sticky, add a little more flour, one tablespoon at a time.
1 cup whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup rolled oats
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use your favorite dog-shaped cookie cutters to create your treats.
  6. Place the cut treats onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the treats are firm to the touch. They should be chewy but not fall apart easily.
  8. Allow the Yogurt Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats to cool completely on a wire rack before serving them to your happy pup.

Notes
