Ingredients

For the Strawberry Puree
  • 1/2 cup Fresh or Frozen Strawberries Thawed if frozen
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
For the Tea
  • 1 bag Jasmine Green Tea Bag Or 1 teaspoon loose leaf tea
  • 1/2 cup Hot Water Just below boiling
  • 1 tablespoon Simple Syrup Adjust to taste
For Assembly
  • 1/2 cup Milk of Choice Dairy, Oat, or Almond recommended
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the Strawberry Puree: Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and mash lightly with a fork if needed.
  2. Strain the Puree (Optional): For a smoother texture, press the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl, discarding the solids. Set aside to cool completely.
  3. Brew the Jasmine Tea: Steep the jasmine tea bag in 1/2 cup of hot water for exactly 3 minutes. Remove the bag and stir in the simple syrup while the tea is still warm. Allow the tea mixture to cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator if time allows.
  4. Assemble the Latte: In a tall glass, spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the cooled strawberry puree into the bottom. Add the ice cubes until the glass is full.
  5. Layer the Ingredients: Slowly pour the chilled jasmine tea mixture over the ice, filling the glass about halfway.
  6. Finish the Drink: Gently pour the milk over the back of a spoon so that it floats on top of the tea layer, creating a beautiful gradient. Stir gently before serving.

Notes

For a stronger strawberry flavor, increase the puree portion. If you don't have simple syrup, you can dissolve an extra teaspoon of sugar directly into the hot tea. Chill all components prior to assembly for the best iced experience.
